A mobile-first digital ballot system that replaces paper judging at Toastmasters speech contests. Judges score and rank contestants from their own phone; the chief judge watches ballots arrive in real time and adjourns the contest the moment the last one is in.

Designed to solve the critical logistical ceiling in contest administration: the inherent inaccuracy and delays of manual paper processing. It demonstrably outperforms the traditional paper system in speed, auditability, and resilience.

I built and field-tested it across seven events over three months — from a low-stakes club-meeting tryout to a joint Area contest running twelve back-to-back contests in a single day, where it served as the sole system of record. Digital results were ready within 1–3 minutes of the final speaker; manual paper tallying took 5 to 16 minutes per contest, and got slower and more error-prone as the counting team tired through the day. Full authentication, audit trail, and rules-compliance details are in the report .
